Vaishno Devi, also known as Mata Rani or Trikuta, is a renowned Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Vaishno Devi, a manifestation of Goddess Durga. The temple is located near Katra in the Trikuta Mountains within the Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir, India.
The shrine is one of the holiest pilgrimage sites in India, drawing millions of devotees each year. Pilgrims undertake a trek of about 12 kilometers from Katra to reach the temple, which is situated at an altitude of approximately 5,200 feet. The main sanctum houses three sacred pindis (natural rock formations) that represent Goddess Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi, and Maha Saraswati.
The journey to Vaishno Devi is considered spiritually rewarding, and the site is celebrated for its divine vibrations and miraculous occurrences.
